Positive Behaviour Support (PBS)

Our practice framework of Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) is deeply inspired by the Australian Governments definition of positive behaviour support as described in the National Framework of the Reduction and Elimination of Restrictive Practices (2014) ‘‘the integration of the contemporary ideology of disability service provision with the clinical framework of applied behaviour analysis. Positive behaviour support is supported by evidence encompassing strategies and methods that aim to increase the person’s quality of life and reduce challenging behaviour.” We work closely with families, caregivers, other stakeholders, and the person requiring the behaviour support collaboratively to ensure better outcomes and build support network for lasting relationships.
